JUNE 22 @ 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM at the Preston Marriott Hotel, Garstang Road
Preston, Lancashire PR3 5JB
Not that he needs any introduction, of course, but Simon King is a highly respected wildlife cameraman well known for his coverage on top programmes such as Spring & Autumnwatch. With his passion and love of the natural world clearly obvious when he talks about his work, one can’t help feel a slight tinge of jealousy.
So maybe we can’t all share his life but for one evening let Simon take you on a journey of adventure as he recites his worldwide experiences. Simon’s world includes filming for prestigious BBC programmes such as Blue Planet, Life in the Freezer, Planet Earth and Big Cat Diary.
Somehow, when he finds the time, charity work plays a big part of Simon’s life, both his own ‘Simon King Wildlife Project’ but also for ‘The Wildlife Trust’, ‘David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation’ and ‘The Woodland Trust’, to name but a few. He’s also wrote numerous books and guides, his latest being ‘Nature Watch” which is the ultimate guide to tracking and watching Wildlife in Britain and Europe.
You knew all that, did you? Did you also know that the electricity supply to our own hide in the Ribble Valley was arranged by the BBC so that they could use it for filming badgers? Guess who their cameraman was back then who sat night after night in our hide? Yes, it was none other than Simon King!
How appropriate then that having given Simon an opportunity to pave the way for his career all those years ago, he comes and shares his experiences at our own celebrations.
Please book early to ensure your attendance, we look forward to seeing everyone there.
Tickets for this event will go out 1st week in June, any purchases after this will be collectable on the door.
